Why we might NOT WANT (or need) the MOST HONEST PERSON as PRESIDENT

Our president will be dealing with a LOT of DISHONEST PEOPLE...such as putin, castro,& other leaders...& we want somebody who "knows the game",and knows how to "call a bluff", and when to "hold 'em or fold 'em",etc We wouldn't want this person being a banker or a judge,but maybe,even if the person has been a bit dishonest in the past,albeit is shrewd,& seems to have the best interests of the country in mind,may be a good president. Let's remember we are not electing a saint for president. Nor even a Christian pastor. We want the person who is the most shrewd,who can make things happen,is generally honest,if not perfectly so. But I will trade off a bit of honesty for the sake of shrewdness. And of course I always make sure they are pro-life.
